I Love You Phillip Morris: The Film You May Never See
Did you know that at the start of 2009 a gay romance film starring Ewan McGregor & Jim Carrey was shown at the Sundance Festival? Yet the viewing public won’t get to see it any earlier than November of this year, and possibly even later.
It’s not because it’s bad (it’s apparently a well done comedy) and It’s not because it’s offensive (although it was initially a problem, with producers struggling to find a distributor. a gay comedy with Carrey & McGregor? that’s not bad). It’s because of the film producers, distributers & a $3M debt which has caused the film release to be held off until the money is paid.
So, theres a possibility that this film may never be released due to stubborn distributors, but fingers crossed this RT 84% film will see the light of day this summer.
