You Should Check Out: Acolytes
In 2008, Australian Jon Hewitt directed some of the best cinematography this country has seen. Shot in suburbia and it’s surrounding forest environment, Acolytes has some amazingly unnerving and beautiful shots and scenes. Coupled with a fantastic soundtrack including Midnight Juggernauts & Battles. If this film has any flaw, it’s unfortunately the storyline, which tends to leave reality towards the end. However, this film is visually and aurally enjoyable to watch, with the first hour being extremely enjoyable piece of Australian film.
