I really don’t think I have to explain myself on this one. Depp brings the funniest performance to date in Jack Sparrow. Bumbling around, Sparrow manages to always escape the situation unscathed, even when it is being eaten by a giant sea monster. At heart, Sparrow is a downright bastard. He’s A Pirate. yet despite all the treachery, you still love him to bits. It may be due to lack of enjoyment one gets from co-stars Will Turner (Orlando Bloom) & Elizabeth Swann (Keira Knightly)…sorry, but i found these two to be uninspired, serving the film as nothing but characters who can be so boring that they make the exciting actions of Sparrow even more exciting. Sparrow brings something to the screen which is so interesting. It may be the appearance, or it may be the one liners and action scenes. It may even be the characters constant slight drunkeness and slight metrosexuality. Whatever it is, it certainly is enough to reward Sparrow the number three position. Looking forward to see Sparrow in the 4th installment, On Stranger Tides. the best thing about the upcoming film? It’s rid of Bloom & Knightly, keeping only Depp & Rush….SWEET!
